Things to do in October

  • September 21, 2022

Families can celebrate Oktoberkinderfest at the German Club from 2-6 pm.  There will be cultural entertainment, games and crafts.  Foods, such as German sweets and savouries will be available.

Also at the German Club, adults wanting a night out can put on their dancing shoes for an evening filled with entertainment, food, music and a Biergarten.

For Hallowe'en fun, the Government House will be hosting a Trick or Treat Day from 1-4 pm. On Oct. 26, the Saskatchewan German Council will be sponsoring their Oct. Mahizeit at the German Club with a supper and pumpkin carving contest.

PLACES TO SEE.

The most favourite place to visit is the Wascana Centre Park  which is conveniently located in the heart of Regina City.  The pretty, well landscaped park surrounds a 120-hectare lake which is great for walking, jogging, or cycling. The Saskatchewan Legislative Building which hosts many events is located within the park.

As well, check out Stone Hall Castle which has been described as going back in time. The RCMP Heritage Centre is a beautiful building.  And the world's largest T-Rex skeleton is at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum.

EATERIES.

If you love macaroons, try Le Macaron which is a well known French bakery, Greko's Restaurant & Steak House which specializes in Greek cuisine and steaks. And for vegetarians and vegans, 13th Ave. Food & Coffee House is a trendy cafe with interesting, tasty dishes not commonly found.

Enjoy your stay in the comfortable, nicely appointed Home Suites Regina East.
