With spring right around the corner, it’s a great time to start planning a weekend getaway or staycation. From top-rated Regina attractions like the Floral Conservatory to unique events like a sound bath, Saskatchewan’s capital has it all.
Regina Floral Conservatory
The beautiful Regina Floral Conservatory is open daily, seven days a week, free of charge. Their indoor floral display features a permanent collection of trees and plants (from figs to birds of paradise), alongside a rotating seasonal display. Right now, visitors can check out Winter Escape, which runs until March 5. The next display, Spring Flings and Easter Things, opens on March 6 and runs through until April 23.
Regina Government House Annual Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt
If you’re planning for Easter family events, the annual Regina Government House Annual Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt is a local tradition. Try to find the eggs hidden in all 14 rooms of the historic museum—some of which are marked with letters to reveal a secret message!—and mark them down on your scavenger hunt sheet. The fun takes place on the Friday through Easter from 9am-4pm.
Sounds of Spring Sound Bath
Ring in spring equinox on March 25 with a seasonal sound bath. Taking place at Knox-Metropolitan United Church, the event will feature crystal bowls, drums, sansula, gongs and more to help attendees enter a deep, healing state of relaxation. Bring a yoga mat, blanket, and pillow if you’d like to experience the bath laying down.
